More Americans are living to 100+ every year. Today, despite a slight dip in the numbers in 2020, thanks to the pandemic, most people can expect to live into their 80s and beyond. Life expectancy has risen dramatically since 1950,when most people succumbed before they reached the age of 70. Frederick reminds us in the beginning of the book that Americans are living much longer lives than ever before. Surely, no one wants to play hit-and-miss with where to spend those older years, because ‘place’ is the key to successful living as we age.
